Utensil Wall Bar

Utensil Holder

One of the most common and versatile wall accessories in the kitchen is the utensil wall bar. You can still regard it as a rack or a hanger and just use some attachments to serve different purposes. It comes in wood, stainless steel, plastic, and porcelain among other materials which makes it a big contribution to whatever style ambiance you want to achieve in your kitchen.

The most common is the metal bar because it seemed to be the most durable, just in case it will serve the purpose of both a hanging rack for the pans and pots and as a hanger for potholders, etc. Attachments such as hooks can be used for special purposes, mainly, to hang the utensils that can be hanged, thus, replacing the purpose of kitchen display facilities.

Aside from metal, utensil wall bars can also be made of wood, and these influence an oriental or laid-back touch of the kitchen. They can also prove themselves long-lasting although wood is a high maintenance material. Plastics and other types generally are easy to install; some do not even have to be screwed to the wall. They use stickers that really attach very well to concrete walls.

In a typical kitchen, you can put up at most three utensil wall bars to aid in your cooking activities. All though, of course, you could use more and attach them to the walls, just not overcrowd the cooking area too much. As a matter of fact, a wall filled with hanging utensils can be a good decor in your kitchen, promoting style and convenience. It would seem like a chef’s kitchen when all the utensils are displayed.

If you are looking into versatility and you think you have not heard enough, a utensil wall bars can be good apron hangers, too. Aside from that, you can hang a mini-corkboard and place sticky note for your kitchen activities, something you can do with your refrigerator but can be fun in this manner. Aside from that, there can be activities unplanned where this wall décor can be very useful; you’d thank us for convincing you to have some in your home.

Unfortunately, they won’t really look nice elsewhere, so if you’re going to install them, make sure it’s only in the kitchen. It will be freaky to have them all over the house, except if you want to set-up a hammock on your bedroom.

Utensil Hanger

Utensil Holder

A kitchen is never complete without a utensil hanger. Besides saving space, there are particular utensils that must be ready whenever kitchen work demands so. Keeping them away in a cupboard would be alright but it won’t ensure that the utensil is hanged dry clean. So, psychologically one would be more at peace in using utensils displayed clean and dry.
Kitchen utensils come in wide variety of designs that actually help determine how they would be stored away. Spoons and forks usually go with a kitchen drawer or a utensil holder. Chop boards that come with holes are usually hanged dry against the wall, separated from the rest. Plates are arranged in a rack. Food supplies are kept away in cupboards along with those extra utensils not often used. Some have built-in devices for hanging.
Of course, utensil hangers can come in fancy designs as much as utensils do. Metal, wood, and plastic materials get a savvy touch of art, so expect lots of variations to choose to put in your kitchen, except if you prefer to be a minimalist or just not good in choosing. Well, even if kitchen utensil hangers are just plain accessories in the kitchen, they can always catch attention or help accentuate a kitchen theme, so, if you think choosing a unique hanger is unnecessary, think again.
Also, you can opt to customize it. Maybe a sticky note holder on top of the hanger, or a towel or tissue rack that comes attached to it. Whatever works for you would be great. There are companies who can do customized kitchen accessories, but actually, you can save yourself a couple of dollars and do it yourself!
What can it actually do? Utensil hangers can keep potholders, strainers, measuring cups, saddles, and other cooking utensils and make them available for food preparation anytime. Well, every housekeeper would want a kitchen as efficient as that. And, you don’t have to wipe them away before storing since you can leave them to get air-dried. Wiping them would allow bacteria from the cloth to get in contact with the utensils and actually become a potential threat to sanitation. And keeping them damp in a drawer would promote it too, likewise.
So, if putting some nails to the wall for a hanger set-up would be a bad idea for you, just think about the convenience it brings. Never too late to style your kitchen in little details.

Utensil Drying Rack

Utensil Holder

In the kitchen, one of the most convenient pieces of furniture is the utensil drying rack. For those eating utensils that just cannot be hanged to air dry, this kitchen tool is very convenient.

Air drying is the most recommendable way of drying your kitchen utensils. It delimits the spreading of bacteria brought about by trying to wipe a damp cloth to your plates, spoons, forks and other pieces. Unfortunately, it is very messy for kitchens which don’t have water catching system at the bottom of their racks. Water would just drool over the place, through the tiles and the table in your food preparation area.

One way to make sure a kitchen is safe for food handling is when it can maintain a dry orderly way of storing its utensils. For instance, you only have cupboards and wooden drawers to store your kitchen utensils. Well, even the newest kitchen would have a high possibility of getting degraded easily. When you let kitchen facilities dry inside your wooden drawer, the material will not do well with water. You could also wipe it with cloth, but either way, it won’t be a very convenient way of storage. The point is, you might want to save yourself from the inconvenience that is inevitable. Safe food preparation must never be compromised.

Going back, a utensil drying rack can take up space but it shall be worth it. Some kitchens have the rack installed in the wall, so as to save the table area for other things. Nevertheless, these racks already have a tray installed to catch the water dropping out from the utensils being dried.

The sizes of these utensil drying racks can vary; some can even provide a drying area not only for different sizes of a dish but also for pots. Well, there is a wide variety of choices in the store, you don’t have to worry. What’s important is to choose the materials very wisely. Of course, we’re avoiding wood, but you can also try using wooden racks if your kitchen’s theme is more on the natural side. Just make sure the material of the wood doesn’t easily get degraded by water, because it will defeat one of the main purposes for choosing a rack.

Actually, some kitchens have their utensil drying racks as their storage racks for plates and other glasswares. Whatever you like, as long as you make sure there is a clean food preparation environment, works.

Utensil Tray with Cover

The utensil tray with cover I bought last week didn’t last long, and I figured so was the rest of the items from that company. I guess I never learned.

I guess by now I should reconsider if I really needed that piece of furniture at my kitchen. First, I didn’t like my spoons and forks exposed, and I will definitely not store them in a holder upright. It looks more organize in a tray, with dividers and looking very classy and clean. But if the tray isn’t very durable, it’s not worth keeping.

Second, would it fit my kitchen? Where’d I put it? I should have had a built in utensil tray with cover so it would not be as complicated as this. I already have wall racks and the kind but of course, spoons and forks would neither ideally be placed there, nor should they be placed in cupboards, because that would seem like a desperate measure.

Third, as of the moment I still use a very stylish spoon and fork holder even though I said earlier that I didn’t like it had I had a choice. Well, my stainless steel utensils manage to be good displays. I just think they are somehow in contact to air bacteria and dust, so, if ever, I should really look for an efficient storage. The only reason for my hesitation is the method of drying the eating utensils without the risk of contamination by wiping it dry. Now that you think about it, this issue can be addressed by putting towels beneath the tray  and then replacing them periodically. That way you can leave the tray covered and assure that the utensils will be dried the next day.

What’s the problem with the one I bought last week? I guess what happened was that the quality of materials used to make that utensil tray with cover isn’t strong enough to experience such strong force. It just slipped my hands while setting up, and it happen to be almost as brittle as fragile glass.

I guess for these cases, the most recommendable utensil tray with cover is that custom made. Lots of manufacturing companies offer the service of installing it in your walls, and they do it less than a day so I guess it would be enough. Always remember to check the quality of the item before buying it, especially of these ones.

Utensil Wall Rack

Utensil wall racks are definitely one of the most versatile kitchen utensil holders that can influence fashion in your kitchen at the same time serve its maximum usefulness. It will indeed provide extra space in your home, and can be modified to suite the room theme.

It is one of the most likely visible furniture so it should better be thought of carefully before construction. A nude kitchen theme suggests the rack to be painted in harmony with the room color; some contrasting colors for railing or other minor elements of the rack shall do it good, too.

The position could also suggest convenience. For instance, one of the most useful utensil wall racks are those placed near the stove, just not directly above it to avoid fire when cooking. That way, pots and pans can be stored and readily available, as well as a little subdivision of the rack goes to the condiments like salt, pepper, vinegar, soy sauce, and the like.

Cupboards are one of the most classic storage facilities in the kitchen, but actually, modern kitchens fancy partially exposed utensils even when stored. So a good kitchen must have both cupboards and utensil wall racks, just in case. There are means to keep the items in the racks clean even when they are exposed. For one, they can be covered by a fancy mini-curtain.

Old plates, those that are not in use, as well as glass wares and Tupperwares should go usually in the cupboard, while bowls, jars, utensil holders and the like can be displayed in the utensil wall rack. Smaller versions can keep condiments, and draw attention to walls whenever there is a need for additives in the food. Big versions, like I said, can store pots and pans and larger utensils. What’s important is that it doesn’t become the major storage facility, for it would make the kitchen feel unbalanced.

Nevertheless, racks are definitely recommendable in every home. You can use it to permanently replace some hanging wall decorations, especially in the kitchen, that do not necessarily help in cooking or appetite. In some cases, they even take up space since their nature as an art prohibits a person to prepare food near it. The best analogy in the kitchen would be, better racks than pictures.

It’s not so bad after all to design your kitchen and keep it organized. What’s more is that displaying in racks help your utensils become readily available for use.

Hanging Utensil Organizer

Some homes still do not keep a hanging kitchen organizer and got used to the usual store or hang-by-the-nail-on-the-wall methods.

Aside from lots of tools and gadgets that are sold in the market today to help tweak your fancy kitchen, convenience is all about serving the purpose. Keeping kitchen accessories such as a knife holder, stainless-steel cabinets, and hanging utensil organizer can help us maximize our cooking experience.

Utensil organizers don’t have to be expensive; they just have to be safe for repetitive usage. Dishwashing and drying of the utensils are also a factor in good kitchen keeping. Air drying is good, but make sure it is exposed to clean room air. It is also advisable to keep a clutter-free kitchen to avoid untoward incidents. Did you know that most of home accidents happen in the kitchen?

If there is good organization in the kitchen, these things mentioned a while ago can eventually become a minor issue. Well, easier said than done. Plates, glass, spoons and forks have their place in the kitchen cupboard, most of the time by default. Knives are probably prioritized in most kitchens, but unfortunately there are utensils designed to be hanged, ad not to be stored. For these instances, you might want to use a hanging utensil organizer.

It isn’t wrong to store away hanging utensils like strainers, saddles, frying and cutting materials, but whenever you need them you might want to make sure they’re there at all times ready for use. It is not impossible to organize a kitchen in such a way that the tools are ready-to-use and space-efficient; it would just take some time and effort.

A hanging utensil organizer will help you avoid the growth of bacteria that happens whenever we store away tools that were supposed to be air dried. It will make the utensils available anytime while consuming less of the kitchen table and cupboard space.

When it comes to health, the kitchen is a crucial area to be looked after. Aside from making sure about the sanitation and economy of food preparation, the orderliness of the room is to be considered. Keeping a hanging utensil organizer at home might just be the perfect game plan to influence the household’s appetite as well as working habits in setting up, cooking and cleaning. Good housekeeping must be observed primarily in the food preparation areas. A wealthy home is a healthy home.
